Cora School Recycling League
The School Recycling League engages students from schools across Singapore, encouraging them to participate in recycling activities and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility. Through education and engagement, we aim to inspire a collective commitment towards green practices, driving long-term positive change.

FAQ
Do I qualify to sign up for the School Recycling League?
All pre, primary and secondary schools in Singapore are eligible to sign up for the School Recycling League.
How should we prepare the recyclables for collection?
Jumbo bags will be provided for participating schools to set up their own recycling corners. All recyclables are to be cleaned and dried before being dropped into the jumbo bags.
For plastics, how do I identify each plastic type?
Plastics will generally have a symbol indicating their material type:
P1 – Items made of PET (Type 1) plastic, such as plastic bottles and containers, are typically transparent and has an “injection mould” dot at the bottom.
P2 – This type of plastics are typically sturdy, and not filmsy or thin.
P4 – This refers to normal plastic bags such as the ones from the supermarkets.
P5 – This refers to items such as opaque cups and containers.
My receptacles are overflowing, what should I do?
Great work on the excellent number of recyclables collected! Email us at info@cora-environment.com to request for a collection.
Can we use our schools’ green recycling bins instead of the jumbo bags?
We seek your assistance to place the recyclables in the provided jumbo bags to help our operations team identify the right recyclables to collect.
What is the difference between blue commingled bins and the jumbo bags provided by the School Recycling League?
To minimise contamination of the recyclables and improve recycling rates, we encourage clean stream collections. This means that the various streams of recyclables are segregated prior to collection. This is different from commingled blue bin recycling where all recyclables are deposited in the blue bin.
How will the winners be notified?
Winners will be notified via email.
